Exelite ventured into new territory and supplied the 2008 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardis Gras’s marshalls with customised LUMIVESTS as well as Exelite’s standard hi-viz safety vest. The Sydney Mardi Gras has grown to become a major cultural event and its appeal stretches well beyond Sydney’s gay community and its close supporters. Over half a million Sydneysiders were joined by thousands of international visitors to line the route of the parade and cheer on the best and beautiful. This major event is most spectacular at night and Exelite and the New Mardi Gras organisers immediately saw the fit for Exelite’s specialised brand of personal safety wear. Event organisers commented after the parade that it was easy to identify their key people on the course who stood out from the standard marshalls due to their flashing LUMIVESTS. Exelite looks forward to supporting New Mardis Gras with the 2009 event.
