I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the Exelite Safety Harness that we now use. We have been using these Safety Harnesses for nearly a year now and have recently purchased a further two units. We now use the fluorescent orange units for the deck crew with the Banksman using fluorescent green. The harnesses have greatly improved the Crane Operators ability to see where his crew are located during crane work. This greatly reduces the risk to the deck crew.
With the harnesses been lightweight and easy to use, we have found that using them in Ballast tanks and Bracing work improves the safety of the personnel. The harnesses are used in case of torch failure so that personnel can be located easily. Time taken to rescue personnel in confined spaces is also reduced, with rescue teams been able to locate injured personnel quickly due to the high visibility of the illuminated harnesses. The Exelite Safety Harness is what I would call "a common sense product".
